Cycling for Everyone - Remove the PST on Electric Bikes

It is time for bold action now to enable everyone in BC, including children and seniors, to cycle or walk for their everyday trips.

Improved cycling and walking should be a big part of the governments long term transportation plans. In addition to reducing GHG emissions, cycling and walking also makes our communities more vibrant and safer while reducing healthcare costs and improving the economy.

Electric bikes enable people to cycle further, conquer hills and carry larger loads. Everyone should be able to get on an electric bike, regardless of ability or income. The Province should encourage their use by eliminating the PST and offering rebates on the purchase of new electric bikes.

Please take a moment to write a letter to your elected officials telling them why you support a removal of PST and the implementation of rebates for electric bikes, then spread the word to your friends!: http://www.bccc.bc.ca/electric
