Kids on Wheels Instructor

Kids on Wheels, a program of the BC Cycling Coalition, is looking for an instructor for our exciting program this August! In this program, through the use of balance bikes (pedal-less bikes) and classroom activities, such as books, bike toys, songs and discussions, children get exposed to active lifestyles at the earliest possible age.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about cycling and have a basic knowledge about bikes

  • Have experience working with young children (aged 3-5), enthusiastic and comfortable around kids

  • Open to new ideas and suggestions
  • Reliable and responsible

  • Available in the mornings from August 28 to the 31, and afternoon September 1st

We will run a five-day session on August 28-Sept 1st at Eaglets Daycare in East Vancouver (485 Semlin Drive). You’ll need to be there for about three hours every day (Mon-Fri: 9:00am to 12:00pm, Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm), including set-up and clean-up.

The rate for the five-day session is $300.

Kids on Wheels will have more sessions next year, so you might have more work opportunities with us in the future!

For more information about the program read the article on Vancity Buzz.

Please send a short cover letter and resume to the Kids on Wheels Coordinator Maya Goldstein by Friday August 18, 2017 at: We thank all applicants for your interest, however only applicants selected for interviews will be contacted.
