Who is Involved?

The Right to Bike initiative is being driven by a working group comprised of cycling educators, advocates and stakeholders:

  • Adrian Bell: Director, BCCC; Partner, Applied_North America
  • Bill Hamilton: Former Program Manager, Bike Education, HUB: Your Cycling Connection
  • Kerry Hamilton: Community Programs Manager, HASTe (Hub for Active School Travel)
  • Lisa Slakov: Advocacy Chair, HUB: Your Cycling Connection
  • Omar Bhimji: Project Manager, HASTe (Hub for Active School Travel)
  • Paul Cheng: TDM Coordinator, TransLink/TravelSmart
  • Scout Gray: Program Manager, Bike Education, HUB: Your Cycling Connection

However, we believe that developing a framework that covers the whole province can only realistically be achieved by involving all interested stakeholders in the development process. Moving forward, there will be many opportunities to contribute to the different pieces of the framework – for more information or to discuss getting involved, get in touch: education@bccc.bc.ca

The Right to Bike initiative has received support from several generous funders and partners, including the City of Vancouver.
