Final Push for Cycling in BC's Climate Plan, Act Now!
The BC Cycling Coalition and HUB met with officials from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. They are working on the transportation vision that will accompany Climate Leadership Plan. We had a comprehensive discussion diving into details around cycling highways, electric bikes, education, and infrastructure funding. We left feeling encouraged but they need to hear from you.
We need bold action now in order to reduce emissions by 80% by 2030. We need to tell our government that we want infrastructure, and cycling education, and we do not want to wait 10 years for it.
Let them know that cycling is a serious form of mass transportation that requires serious commitment, planning and funding to enable everyone to use it for their daily trips.
You can find more details on what we are proposing here.

We want everyone in the Province to be able to cycle for their daily trips while eliminating fatalities and injuries. To meet these ambitious goals, we need your help. Please help out by contributing $3, $5, or $10 per month. A big thanks those who have already contributed!
Your generous contribution will help us mobilize the support needed to convince the Provincial and Federal Governments to make bold investments in cycling & walking through:
- Outreach to organizations and businesses
- Petitioning to show the government that a lot of people support better cycling
- Meeting with politicians and staff
- Press releases and op-eds
